Of these, 15,000 trained in the best institutes in the world to join the tourism sector.
He also highlighted the role the Human Resources Development Fund played in increasing salaries.
Al Khateeb emphasised the ongoing effort to enhance the legislation and encourage investment.
With the establishment of the Tourism Development Fund, which has funded more than 50 projects totalling SR35bn ($9.3bn), investing in the tourism sector has become a highly appealing and straightforward endeavour worldwide.
